PMMA bone cement and mixing system. Mixing under vacuum increases cement density.
The cement is mixed in a closed chamber under vacuum, which increases its density. The spatula keeps cement waste to a minimum. The viscosity of this highly radiopaque, zirconium dioxide cement is set for vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty. Mixing, waiting and working times depend on room temperature; the values given were obtained after storing the product for 2 hours at 20°C before use.
